Our Team

Allen Eagle Robotics was established on September 1st, 2014, as an extension of the newly formed robotics classes and club at Allen High School in Allen, TX. The student leadership of Eagle Robotics voted to participate in the FIRST Robotics Competition to advance engineering programs within Allen, supported by veteran mentors Gregory Burnham and Nathan Huntoon and sponsors Texas Instruments, AllenISD, and Texas Workforce Commission. Initially known as A-Team Robotics, our team began with 15 students, with only one female student.

We have now grown to over 60 students, with 40% female representation. We are united as 2 robots (5417 & 5788) on 1 team (Eagle Robotics), encouraging future STEAM leaders to learn, grow, and soar to new heights through hands-on, real-life experiences. Eagle Robotics equips students to spread the mission of FIRST through our numerous outreach programs that ensure children have the opportunities available to explore the depths of STEAM.

Eagle Robotics is fueled by our members’ dedication and time towards our community and beyond, with 12,000 hours served in the past year. As a result of these efforts, over the past 3 years, our initiatives have impacted over 125,000 people, through our annual community events, hosted FIRST competitions, and other Eagle Robotics activities.
